Finally HTC has revealed the list of smartphones that will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update.

Selected phone users in selected countries are already getting their portion of updates. Among them we have Sensation line smartphone users, but as the manufacturer claims the rest of the world will get Android 4.0 updates in coming weeks. Moreover, it will take some time while all carriers and countries will push it out to their users.

HTC releases tool to unlock bootloaders on its devices

HTC has released a tool to unlock the bootloader in some of its Android devices, the company announced today. According to a posting on HTCDev, HTC will allow the bootloader to be unlocked on every phone it releases going forward, and will also be working backwards to make unlocking tools for phones released prior to September 2011.

”Massive” security hole uncovered in HTC Android phones!

HTC device owners reportedly have reason to worry today, after it was discovered that a first-party app was leaking huge amounts of personal information.

Android Police has done some digging into a suite of logging tools, dubbed HtcLoggers, that were loaded onto a range of HTC phones in a recent update. While the exact purpose of the tools is not known, they collect a bevy of information including, but not limited to, location, user accounts, phone numbers, system logs and some SMS data.

TAG Heuer to release $5,000 Android phone

If you have never heard of TAG Heuer, then you are not acquainted with the finer things in life. The Switzerland based company, formed over 150 years ago, is known for making very well made, and very expensive, watches. This week the company announced plans to release its first Android-based mobile phone, the TAG Heuer Link. According to a post at Ablogtoread.com, the phone will cost about $5,000 when it is released later this month.
